BNJ RUGERS SMOKIN GUN aka Ruger is the perfect example of a truly versatile GSP. Ruger was bred by Beth and Jeff DeVries. Ruger stands at 24 inches and 65 pounds. Ruger loves showing but there’s nothing more he loves to do than go hunt up some birds. Ruger achieved his AKC Championship with minimal showing. He received his first Major win at the 2019 Sleepy Hollow GSP Specialty in NY over a large group of beautiful shorthairs; later that day, he went on to achieve another major win. Ruger loves to spend his summers hitting the dock – we compete through North America Diving Dogs (NADD) where Ruger has achieved his Dock Elite title (PB of 24’9″). Ruger was invited to the AKC NADD National Championship where Ruger won first place in the Master division. We’re currently training Ruger for his Senior Hunter title through AKC. Ruger also has a fantastic off switch in the home and loves to curl up on the couch.
